Toilet Roll Trees
Well, we will make a toilet paper roll Christmas tree this year!
In fact, we will make a wh0le TP roll tree forest!
Not only is this Christmas tree craft budget-friendly because everyone has empty toilet paper rolls lying around, but it’s also eco-friendly as you’re repurposing materials that would otherwise end up in the trash!
With some paint, glitter glue, and creativity, you can transform ordinary toilet rolls into a forest of Christmas trees!
Let your kids join in and use your imagination!
You can add paper snowflakes or turn them into advent calendars for an extra special touch.
Toilet Paper Roll Christmas Tree Craft
Are you ready to create a magical cardboard roll Christmas tree forest?
Great!
Just gather your supplies, put on some Christmas music, and let’s get crafting!
Supplies Needed:
- Empty toilet paper rolls (or paper towel rolls if you want bigger trees!)
- Scissors
- Green paint and white paint
- Paint brush
- Glitter glue (because everything is better with sparkle!)
- Glue
Directions for how to make Christmas trees out of toilet paper rolls:
Step 1: Push down on your toilet paper rolls to flatten them.
Step 2: Cut slits on each side, making sure not to cut through the middle; check out the image above.
Cut the first branch of the tree even so it shows the tree trunk.
Next, cut triangle-sized slits to make the branch shapes.
Step 3: Now, the fun part is decorating the tree.
I mixed different shades of green to make my trees more realistic.
Step 4: Once the paint is dry, decorate it with glitter glue or a cut-out star for the top.
I cut out a silver star and glued it on top.
You can even add a little glitter to the star to make it sparkle.
For some of the trees, I used white paint to give them a snowy effect.
See how easy it is to make toilet paper Christmas trees!
Get creative and use different-sized cardboard tubes, like paper towels, toilet paper, or even wrapping paper tubes.
Make a whole forest of toilet roll trees in different sizes and shapes.
I set these TP trees around my white Christmas village houses.
Add fairy twinkling lights and watch your mantel or shelf transform into a winter wonderland.
