My honest review of the Knack Pack.

The Knack Pack is intelligently designed to be the ONLY bag you will ever need.

It is the perfect graduation gift for someone who is going off to college or off to explore the world because the Knack Pack’s flexible storage capabilities will hold a lot of things while keeping them organized.

 

 

As I am getting ready to send my home-schooler off to college, I am looking into the best college essentials.

The Knack Pack seems to be a great choice because it is designed to be an all-in-one bag. Not only is it made to hold your laptop and books, but it is also expandable to carry clothes for travel.

What is a Knack Pack?

First off, Knack Packs are designed to be the ONLY bag you will need to use. Yes, that means you no longer need a backpack, computer bag, gym bag or even a carry-on bag. The Knack Pack has all of that covered. The reason that it is so versatile is that it is expandable.

Putting The Knack Pack To The Test

This past weekend we put the medium sized Knack Pack to the “college test” to see if it truly is the only bag you will need. My daughter and I spent the weekend touring the university of her choice. She packed the bag with her weekend/slash college necessities and carried the bag all around campus.

• pens/pencils/highlighter
• biology textbook (to add book weight)

• wireless earbuds

At first, my daughter tried to wear the Knack Pack on one shoulder. After about an hour, she decided that with the extra weight of all her stuff she needed to use both shoulder straps. She appreciated that the shoulder straps were padded.

 

By the end of the day, she even tried out the sternum strap and was surprised by how much it alleviated the weight of the bag on her body.

Knack Pack’s Storage Compartments

With the bag having so many compartments, all of her things were organized and easily accessible. Her clothes and toiletries were strapped inside the expandable compartment. Her wallet and charging cords were tucked into the bottom compartment for easy access.

 

 

 

Not only does the Knack Pack have many storage compartments, but the inside is lined with a bright pattern to help you see things in your bag with ease.

The top compartment was a perfect fit for a phone and sunglasses. The front triangle compartment has pen holders and several pockets.

 

 

The expandable compartment looks just like the inside of a suitcase. There you will find a compression strap and a zipped mesh storage area. I was quite impressed with this compartment.

The back compartment is padded to fit a laptop or tablet. I love that it keeps the electronics protected by the padding, with another plus being that the padding rests upon your back for comfort.

Is The Knack Pack Fit For College Life?

After carrying around the Knack Pack for a full day around a college campus, we have concluded that the Knack Pack is a perfect fit for college students. The many storage compartments can keep your student organized, and the padded straps provide all-day comfort.

Knack Pack’s Best Features

• Hidden Water Bottle Compartment. My daughter and I both loved the hidden water bottle compartment. We tested it with several water bottles (with the most significant size being 24oz), and they all fit.
• Storage Compartment For Straps. If you are using it for a carry-on bag, you can conveniently store the straps in another hidden compartment.
• Padded Straps and Sternum Strap. Since the Knack Pack CAN hold so much, it was essential that it was designed with padded straps and even a sternum strap to alleviate the pressure.
• Laptop Storage Compartment. Thickly padded compartment just for laptop storage.
• Not Bulky. It has a slim and sleek design even when expanded.
• Perfect Size Flight Carry-On. It is designed to fit overhead or under the seat for easy travel.

Pros:

1. Plenty of storage compartments for organization.
2. It is well made with high-quality materials.
3. Converts from backpack to carry-on bag seamlessly.
4. Sleek urban design.
5. Water Resistant.

Cons:

1. Little expensive, but well worth it.
2. Small for longer travel trips.

Final Thoughts on the Knack Pack

I was quite impressed with the layout, and I have never seen a bag quite like it. The Knack Pack’s clever design has pretty much everything covered. I love how this can transition from an everyday bag to a travel bag.

I am excited to try it out on our next flight. On our last trip to Disney, our carry-on suitcase would not fit overhead, or under the seat, so the flight attendant took it to be checked.

Well, of course, it got lost.

We did get it back two days later, but I was worried we would never see it again.

I do not think this could happen with the Knack-Pack because it is not bulky, even though it holds so much. I trust that since it was designed to be a carry-on bag, there should never be a problem.

My daughter will be using this bag for her upcoming college semester. She loves the bag. Her thoughts are that it will keep her organized and she loves the minimalist look.
